With the world watching, the Hawaiian people are currently involved in a collective pushback against seven mandatory vaccination bills (four bills and three companions). The first bill has officially been killed a mere eight days after its introduction. The now dead Senate Bill 2393 included unclear, slippery language that could have forced all Hawaiian citizens to get all federally mandated vaccines within 90 days.
The next bill (HB 1910/SB 2316) now receiving public testimony, protest and debate is a mandate forcing the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine on all 7th graders. These bills would force all students entering 7th grade in Hawaii to receive the HPV shot. However, the authors are already seeing their HPV bill fall apart as Kathryn Smith, Superintendent of Education in Hawaii has submitted testimony in the pubic record opposing the bill citing concerns it would "negatively impact school attendance." Given the long list of issues with the HPV vaccination and recent research fraud regarding the shot's safety, HB 1910 and SB 2316 both appear to be dangerous public health gambles by uninformed politicians at best.
Unfortunately, the Hawaiian people fighting for their right to medical choice and informed consent are also having to face major conflicts of interest from their representatives. Nine of the bill's author's have taken money from the very pharmaceutical companies making the vaccines attempting to be forced on the population by the newly introduced Senate and House bills. Finally, House Bill 1722 (HB 1772) eliminates the religious belief exemption to vaccination for public school students throughout Hawaii. HB 1722 along with HB 1910/SB 2316 threaten the Indigenous Hawaiian children’s protected right to an education. Students not complying will be denied their right to a public eduction. These bills violate many sections of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. In addition, the very idea and basic principle of just laws are to act equally on all sections of society regardless of race, status, religion, and all other factors. Mandatory vaccination laws that threaten a child’s education are unjust laws because they disproportionally target those in society without the family, community or monetary support that would allow for the private schooling or homeschooling of their child.
Vaccines are not safe. The Vaccine Injury Compensation Program has paid out over $3.5 billion due to injuries from severe adverse vaccine reactions. Support the Hawaiian people as they continue to show the world that power still lies within the hands of the people.
Contact David Y. Ige, Governor of the State of Hawaii, ask him to OPPOSE the 7 bad bills that could turn Hawaii into America’s only forced vaccination state: HB 1946, HB 1910, SB 2316, HB 1945, SB 2394, and HB 1722.
